According to Tourism Fiji, Australian travellers ‘smashed pre-covid levels in 5 of the final 6 months of 2022. With some record visitor arrivals from Australia.’ Booking trends have also seen increased length of stays and a rise in ancillary spending, leading to the development of multi-room residences to meet demand.

Naturally, the increased number of visitors is also reflected in a high number of hotel bookings. Based on September 2022 data, the average occupancy rate was 83% with Q4 numbers expected to rise even more.
