For loved up couple Eleesa White and Kenny Gee, their special September wedding consisted of nothing but swaying palms, cloudless skies, sand between their toes and deep belly laughs which continued well into the night. Read on to learn a little more about the couple’s experience saying ‘I do’ in Fiji and how their special day played out.

Tell us a little bit about your big day

We had a very relaxed and easy going wedding. We didn’t want to get to caught up in the little things, we just wanted to have fun together with our family and friends – and we did just that. We had our ceremony at 3 pm on the beach, which was perfect for us. The weather was great also, warm and sunny. It felt like we didn’t stop laughing the whole day, night and even the week leading up. We wish we could do it all over again, it was truly the best day celebrating us.

Why did you choose Fiji as your wedding destination?

A destination wedding really suited us, we love the beach, heat and like to slow down while away. We have always loved Fiji and definitely wanted to get married on an Island. Plantation Island was the perfect location, there’s so much to do in Nadi and the resort had so many options and activities also for singles, couples and families.

Where did the ceremony take place?

We got married at the Beach Bure right on the beach, it was right beside our room which was really good. We then had our reception under the Tavola Tree which was beautiful also and had the best view for our surprise fireworks.

What did you wear?

I wore a dress by Dan Jones collection, while Kenny wore a suit comprised of pieces by Gazman and YD.

Who did you work with to take your photos?

Konrad Thorpe

What was your experience in working with I Do Fiji to plan your big day?

We would just like to thank I Do Fiji and especially Paula for organising our Wedding and all our guests at Plantation Island. We got married in September and it was the best. We would not change a thing. Paula was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She constantly responded via emails so quickly and always on the same day with any questions or queries I or our guests had asked. Paula suggested and organised everything for us including the photographer, music, accommodation, extra packages and even organised a trip out to Cloud 9 for the day for our entire group of 50. If anyone is thinking of getting married in Fiji, I would recommend it in a heartbeat and to especially contact I Do Fiji and speak to Paula. Thank you again, Paula. You were fantastic.
