SPOTLIGHT: WEDDINGS AT MALAMALA BEACH CLUB
Situated just 25 minutes from Port Denarau and accessible via a private vessel or catamaran, Malamala Beach Club is a secluded getaway that is surrounded by azure waters, white-sand beaches and swaying palms.
Getting there
To get there, board one of the daily vessel transfer services which depart the Port Denarau Marina at 10am and 12pm, returning at 4:15pm and 5:15pm. The convenience of it all means you’ll be able to move easily from the boat to the club without ever getting your feet wet. How good is that?
Your to-do list
There are a number of fun activities that you can engage in when visiting. Our recommendation? Book a cabana and relax next to the infinity pool while looking over the clear blue waters. There’s also plenty of beautiful sea life to discover in the surrounding reefs, so a snorkel mission would not go amiss. And if you want to feel extra glamorous? Take advantage of the private butler service and have your cocktails and nibbles delivered straight to you.
Weddings at Malamala
If you’re looking to get hitched, Malamala can accommodate up to 400 guests with a range of versatile private spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Brides can make a grand entrance along its famous pier while their guests can kick back and relax before and after the ceremony on the island.
Some of the venues available for your special day include:
The Deck: A laid-back, open-air space with daybeds, sun loungers, deck chairs and bean bags. The Deck is suitable for casual drinks, informal dining, cocktails and canapés for up to 40 standing guests.
The Venue: A dedicated area for up to 50 seated guests, this semi-covered space with ocean views has its own restrooms.
The Restaurant: Covered seating for up to 120 guests allows groups to enjoy an occasion in one space, with easy access to all facilities.
If you want to make the day even more intimate, there’s an option to even book out the entire island for your private use.
