Loloma Wedding Chapel
Loloma Wedding Chapel at the InterContinental Golf Resort & Spa is positioned in an enviable location overlooking one of the Coral Coast’s most splendid spots, the picturesque Natadola Beach. Views through the ocean-facing glass windows of the chapel are the quintessential Fiji – stunning white sandy beaches fringed with swaying coconut palm trees on the chapel lawn, looking out to clear azure waters of the Pacific.
The free-standing structure sits at the northern end of the five-star resort, adjacent to the Kama Lounge bar and fire pit.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa’s Business Development Executive – Weddings, Jane Lesavua provides I Do Fiji Holidays with the low-down on what to expect when you book Loloma Chapel as part of one of the resort’s wedding package options.
Does it get any more formal than a red carpet? Well, if you are going to live stream your wedding around the world, so it should be fancy! Live streaming for Fiji, I hear you say. That’s right, the Loloma Chapel has the equipment and cameras in place to beam your special day to all parts of the world for those family and friends who can’t make it in person but want to be part of the action.
The bure itself is stunning. Built predominantly of slated brick and massive glass walls, it’s eye-catching, modern and romantic. It’s fully air-conditioned but can be opened up to take advantage of sea breezes, depending on your personal preferences.
Couples will have access to the chapel the day prior to their wedding for a rehearsal with their wedding party. Plus they can organise to meet with their Minister/Civil Celebrant, subject to their availability and at an additional cost.
On your wedding day, fresh tropical flowers adorn the ends of the pews, with large flower displays either side of the altar. Petals can also be scattered on the carpet if requested in advance.
While some other hotels have relaxed their policies, the InterContinental Fiji continues to limit on-site weddings to just one per day. “We believe the wedding day is a special once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we prefer to provide our couple of the day our undivided attention,” Lesavua explained to I Do Fiji Holidays.
